This video was taken on board a Russian vessel crossing the Drake Passage between Ushuaia (Argentina) and the Antarctic Peninsula. The Drake Passage is known as the roughest sea on earth with severe storms almost at any times and extremely huge waves. We were hit by a storm sailing north that lasted two days with 14m waves.
I am fascinated by those beautiful, effective and environmentally sound modern wind turbines.

We were on a zodiac tour off the coast of the Antarctic Peninsula when sudddenly three huge humpbacks appeared at very close range.
They were coming closer and closer until we could almost touch them. They kept playing around for about half an hour. Once again I realized how sensitive and intelligent these animals are. They were just curious, playful and seem to enjoy our company.
On May 28 in the late morning hours a supercell formed above Luxembourg, moved along the Belgian-German border and crossed the town of Moenchengladbach at 11 a.m. There was a rainfall of about 50 litres / square meter in less than an hour. There were about 10 minutes of almost complete darkness which was very unusual and eerie caused by those towering clouds reaching up to 13 km.
