An electrical storm from start to finish. I shot this from the balcony of my old flat in Bristol in the summer of 2006.
It's shot on a simple camcorder on mini-DV and edited on iMovie.
It features some timelapse photography, lightening strikes and music by Craig Armstrong (track 1- 'Weather Storm', track 2- 'After the Storm').
10 hours, on and off, of building the Lego Star Wars Ultimate Collector's AT-ST compressed into 3 and a half minutes. With some stop-motion too.
Music:
Telephone and Rubber Band -
Penguin Cafe Orchestra
The Imperial March -
John Williams
My two sisters and my Mum came to see me while I was at Uni in Bristol.
They are a pair of stinkers and my mum is crazy but I love them so I had to put this up here.
This is an extended shot of one I took of a sunset for my short film 'Cornwall'. The colours are so incredible I had to upload it in its entirity but it is sped up double speed so the cam shake from the wind is more exaggerated. It was shot in August 2006 above a small Cornish coastal town called Porthtowan on a Sony PD-150 in mini DV format. The music is 'Everloving' by Moby.
Following the shoot of the BREAKWATER short film production 'Things to do When Killing Time' I was invited to come and discuss it, and filmmaking on the Mid-morning show @ BBC Radio Gloucestershire. This was recorded on Friday 4th July 2008.
This is a behind the scenes look at what it took to get the explosion shot from the hostage scene in my dissertation film (from Bristol Uni film school) 'Cell'. I didn't shoot this, or edit it, I was too busy directing it all and driving the car to our deaths; it was actually made by another student on the course, my AD, Sarah Malibar. All credit goes to her, including the aweful music! lol
Storm clouds clearing away from in front of the sun after an electrical summer storm.
Taken from the short 'Weather Storm'.
This is about X8 speed from the original.
Music - 'Memories Of Green' by Vangelis from the 'Blade Runner' soundtrack.
Forget Test Matches, ODI's or 20/20 finals, all the excitment in the world of cricket is focused in the back of the tender when two of the greatest stars of the Runners Cricket League go head to head.
