Here's the result of another few crazy weekends of shooting.
Shot on the new XDCAM HD at 60fps by Richard Humphreys.
Directed and edited by Shahir Daud.
Featuring all the guys from Physical Graffiti: Le Parkour Aotearoa including,
Tiago, KD, Jon, Chad, Terrence, Jay, Oliver and many others - More videos to come soon! Enjoy!
Finalised edit and grade of Parkour footage shot on Dec 9th. Might turn this into a little series of short videos - and will try to develop a different style each time... feedback and comments appreciated!
Short film I wrote, directed and edited many years ago. Still learning, and made a lot of mistakes, but shot with a full crew on super-16mm. I cringe a little looking at it now, but you can't take it back! Just wanted to make a fun little short film for an audience to enjoy. So - enjoy!
48 Hour Film Finalist - 2004.
Genre: Kung Fu
Elements Required
Character: Terry Spears (Model)
Dialogue: Just put that down, nice and easy
Prop: Doll.
Written/Directed/ Edited in 48 Hours - I had an amazing team to work with - they all pulled out amazing work - unfortunately didn't get past just being a finalist, but a lot of fun to make.
Cool collaborative video I edited and animated with Damien Christie of Close up. Tried to come up with a graphic visual design to try and focus attention to the central story point - design driven development. Lots of After Effects
Great little video I had a lot of fun making - was essentially given free reign to edit steam train footage into anything I wanted, and decided to pay homage to silent films (Buster Keaton's The General is a personal fav). Nominated and winner of 2006 Qantas Television Award for best news and current affairs editing.
A news story I edited and animated in AVID/After Effects for TVNZ One News. Winner of the 2006 Qantas TV Awards for Best News Editing.
Took 17 hours of rendering time - and almost missed its scheduled time!
Another One News Story I edited and animated, about the new New Zealand monopoly board. Used a lot of the same principles as the World Press Photos story. Fun to make
