This is a short video of Quake 4 running in a Windows virtual machine on my Mac via Parallels Desktop for Mac 3.0. PDfM 3.0 supports a number of popular DirectX and OpenGL games, and this is one of my favorites.

Installed the Mac OS X beta from Parallels and demonstrated the speed of XP by reinstalling Firefox, surfing, and rebooting. Running on Intel iMac 2.0 Ghz (256 MB VRAM, 1.5 GB RAM, 512 MB given to XP)

Im running this on a Macbook Pro C2D 2.33Ghz, 3GB ram. Please note that the screen capture considerably slows the whole system down. Im running Windows XP from the Boot Camp partion (also a new feature of Parallels) and then turn on the new Coherence mode.
