Another fun/tricky town circuit in France - Circuits du Remparts at Angouleme. Good dice with Sabre Six, took him just before the flag, but with no brakes and some very odd marshalling, taking us off the circuit with no cooldown lap just after the finish, Mark Jordan couldn't stop before shunting me from behind.
Phil Hooper driving again.
Great fun qualifying - amazing speed differences although we are all the same age group. When those GT 40's go by, the whole car goes sideways! They are not much quicker in the corners though....
Phil in XPG 1.
Very difficult circuit to learn. If you aren't sure of the next corner, you have to lift off, costing seconds on a lap of this length! This was after only 25 minutes of practice time. TVR Grantura MK 111, 1963.
Equipe GTS race at GP de Dijon. Thanks to organisers Jim Lowry and Christophe Wilmart.....
Practice was a disaster for me with one flat tyre - race was better.
Would have done better if I hadn't spun out!
Ian Bankhurst on a mission. TVR Grantura Mk 3 en route for 6th place overall and 1st in class -(we know the truth - 2mm in sump height my arse!!) - what a drive.... Phil Hooper, co driving, proud to be part of the team Matrix. Great bunch of guys - Rob, Malc, Scouse, et al - you all deserve the result........
