When Derrick Petersen introduced me to Jim Oosterhuis, I heard he built model planes. But little did I know, he built his own Experimental RV8 Tail Dragger from Van's Aircraft kits.

In the middle of having fun area flying I noticed the wind speed was really picking up on the GRT EFIS display so I went back early to New Garden and had some fun with a direct crosswind at a pretty good clip and of course the hills, gaps in trees and buildings made the wind all that much more fun to negotiate! Tailwheels are a blast!!
