Although the strings are basically tuned to the key I want, the threads between the bone bridge and the metal strings need adjusting so as to get the 'vibration' that is in esscence the sound of the Tanpura
A beautiful 145 cm long 'Miraj' made tanpura recently bought from 'Delhi Music Store' (DMS) in Old Delhi, India. Although I am not in any way connected to the company, I can honestly recommend them. Mr. Singh sells only fine quality instruments and all sold at 'fair' and honest prices.
